Tapioca baby

Image
Patiently waiting for the tapioca pearls to cool minding not the cool temperature coming from the freezer.  See her reaching for it? She's checking if it's ready or not.  Now I have a rival when it comes to eating Tapioca Pearls ( A starch extracted from the root of the plant species Manihot esculenta. A gluten free, and almost completely protein free food according to Wiki ) in the presence of my two-year-old girl. Every afternoon, I make it a point to cook tapioca pearls ( bought from Oriental store). The lil one asks for it in whisper and won't leave me alone until her request is granted. I don't complain because I love eating it, too, mixed in chocolate shake. Yummy! I am actually having a chocolate shake with Tapioca pearls right now. It's a left over from earlier's snack. I can eat this over and over again. So delicious! What can I say?

Once upon a time...

Image
...there's a kid who enjoyed being in the Mall of Louisiana's playland. And since there's no drums in the said place, she made her own in the presence of the ladybug. When sliding time came, she pulled her mama off the chair to be of help while she climbed up to the tree slide. "Weeeeeeee..." she said while sliding down the tree slide, again and again and again. Done with the tree slide, she then dominated the other slide, the bee slide and sat on the steps for awhile impeding the flow of the traffic. LOL. Came lunchtime and she ain't done  playing. She wanted to stay but her Dada and Mama were  hungry as well as the the place was crowded with big kids occupying most of the toys. The lil girl agreed to eat with her parents. Later on, she forgot about going back and didn't bother to ask anymore.

Hubby's new hobby

Image
This is one of hubby's output last night. He's been playing with photos, customizing 'em into different scenarios and themes. The backgrounds are available, he just pasted a photo or two then customized it to his desired location and all to fit into the space. I forgot the website, though. Being a computer buff and watching sports on TV are hubby's tiny flaws, minor flaws that ain't causing a fire between us. When he's not working or doing yard work, his butt is stuck on his computer chair, browsing websites that sell knives. So now that he's into this fun photo customization, it doesn't affect me. It is better this way than spend his time in night bars and drink and smoke. Back to the picture, that's exactly the role of the 'lil one. Ain't no telling but she is the boss. One day, she'll be kicking me off this house lol. Of course, I am not allowing her to be that disobedient and disrespectful when she gets older. Discipline and prayers a...

She is something!

My adorable toddler is already 19 months old. Everyday, she grows and grows and learns a lot of tricks. She definitely can utter a three-word-sentence,too, mind you a clear sentence. Just like this morning, she asked and answered her own question with an American accent, too, "what's that? towl?". Referring to her towel that I just hanged before she bathes. One time hubby was cooking dinner. She went straight to him and said, "Dada cook, hot". Meaning, her daddy is cooking and it's hot. Clear as a blue. I was stunned and amazed of what she said that day. There are several times, or shall I say every single hour of the day when she does something crazy and tricky. I am lucky if I catch those moments using camera or camcorder. Sometimes, things happen so quick and end unrecorded. One morning, I checked on what she's up to while I was busy cleaning the kitchen. I had to compel myself not to laugh when I saw her sitting in the couch, wearing sunglass...

Midnight drama

Gosh! The lil one just went to bed and it's already midnight here. She actually was in bed at around 10PM when all of the sudden she woke up screaming. Seemed she was having a bad dream or might be her gums were bothering again. I consoled her and she calmed down. After a few minutes, she started screaming again while yawning. She so wanted to go right back to sleep but she couldn't. After an over an hour battle, she finally able to put herself back to sleep. I put her again in her bed when she settled down. Did not react or cry either when I closed the door, leaving her alone in her bedroom. So here I am, ranting again. Free from the tiny hands of the lil one. Nobody pulls me, pinches me and takes my PC away from me. It feels good to be in a quite room. This is the best time to update my blog and take care of my online tasks. I have done dropping EC by the way, submitted one paid post and still composing for the next. Letting this entry off now. Have a good night everyone!

Getting ready to clean up typhoon Dannielle aftermath

Everyday, typhoon Dannielle signal no. 10 hits my house lol. Most stuff are cluttered in the kitchen, living area, foyer and two rooms -- her bedroom and office. The lil one has access to the areas I mentioned above but not in my bedroom where there are so much to break and guest bathroom. One time I forgot to close the guest bathroom door, when I came back, stuff toys and hair bows are enjoying while floating in the nasty water in the toilet bowl. It made me laugh but it is a lesson for me to be very careful and keep an extra eye to the 'lil one. So tonight while she is sleeping, I am off to clean her mess. Couldn't use a vacuum, only my bestfriend, walis tambo (an asian floor sweeper). There are so many to pick up and bring to its proper places such as toys, kitchen utensils (I give it to her as toys when she's bored), pillows, books, paper and marker (she loves to write) and a whole lot more. So long pals! I will be back when I can, maybe tomorrow or some other days.
