Best gift a child could ever have

Image
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of CryoCell International . All opinions are 100% mine. Saturday afternoon, I came home from home decor shopping. The hubby opened the door for me and helped me with the stuff I bought. I knew I noticed something in his eyes but didn't want to ask him about it. Was he crying while I was gone shopping? I just left myself with a conclusion that the lil one poked him in the eyes that's why it was reddish and kinda sore. Later that evening, hubby opened up to me. Yes he cried. He was watching football and then during the half-time report, a cancer patient's life was featured. The hubby's heart was crashed upon seeing the child's difficulties in battling the most horrifying disease, cancer. He's thankful that the lil one is so healthy in her two years of life and hoping  that her it'll continue that way. Hubby's story reminded me of my plan of having the lil one's umbilical cord banked then. Sadly, i...

Watery Wednesday : Bird bath

Image
Watery Wednesday  entry number 1. The biggest bird bath I've seen. This is located at Brec's Baton Rouge Zoo. Took the photo a couple of weeks ago during our visit. The mngt. made it possible for the guests to walk in a man-made cage (maybe) to interact with  a few species of birds like pigeons. The birds would just walk by you and are not scared at all. Maybe because they are so used to the visiting public or maybe they are trained.  Visiting the zoo is so worth it after seeing tons of animals and learning  facts about 'em.

Are you ready for the move?

Image
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PlayStation MOVE . All opinions are 100% mine. Growing up in the Philippines is something that most children won't choose because of the far off of the latest technology. I am not saying that nobody in my homeland owns the latest gadgets or game stations. It's just that only  few can afford. As per my experience, I did not grow up with numerous toys around. It made me wish before to have everything that I saw on TV but my parents couldn't afford to buy six toys at a time. Thus, day dreaming rescued my wishful thinking and somehow made it to reality even for a minute or two. Now that I have a lil one, I want her to have most, if not all, the educational toys that she could possibly want. Regardless of price, hubby and I are working hard to give it to her. In fact, hubby has been eyeing for a PlayStation® Move , a perfect Christmas present for the family. PlayStation®Move is actually a combination of the PlayStation®3 s...

LSU night @ the grannys

Image
Two grandchildren, Dannielle and Easton, disturbing their granny. Poor old woman couldn't resist her favorite grandchildren and had to give 'em attention  ignoring LSU on the huge television screen. It was Saturday night, LSU football night, and the whole family including kids watched the game at the in-laws. Indeed, a great night spending time with everybody but some were not happy and I am talking about the men in the family. Watching football game with lil kids is definitely not a good idea. The men, who are die-hard LSU fans kept on complaining about the kids interrupting terribly. Since I am not into football, I helped in watching the kids by taking them away from the living room. I did drag ;-) them to the in-laws bedroom, turned the tv on and put the two of them in the bed. Good thing that the bed is kinda high, scared them to get down. Come Saturday, we'll be riding again to the inlaws to watch LSU tigers play football. I am crossing my fingers on the toddlers...

Getting ready for the cold season

Image
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Rambler's Way Farm . All opinions are 100% mine. Cold season is just around the corner here in the South, thus, preparing for it is what I have started on doing. I already took the winter clothes back in the closet including sweaters, jackets, coats, boots, gloves and scarves. Since I gained weight, some of the clothes  snug on me which means I am in need of a few sweaters specifically. Early this morning, I went shopping online. I made purchases of sweaters and jackets from various stores such as the Rambler's way where  wool  products are created comfortable and warm on one's the body, great enough for all season use. The products are actually made in America which means high quality is rest assured. The best thing is that, Rambler's way is helping in the preservation of Mother Earth through the material they're using. Anyways, I did buy a couple of long johns and henley long sleeves for me. For the hubb...

The lil one @ Jump n Jive

Image
It was her first visit at Jump n Jive and she had a blast.  It's been a while since she haven't been to a fun center and when she saw it again, her excitement was beyond the highest inflatable in the building. Jumped here and there. Climbed  up, slid down. Ran. Jump n Jive hosts parties and events for kids ages 10 and below everyday besides Tuesday and Thursday, days alloted for open play. For open play, each kid pays $7 for ages two to ten and I think $4 for two below. Wearing socks is a must. Open play is open from 10 in the morning til 4 in the afternoon. Here are the photos that I kept on forgetting to share with you guys. Been sitting in my dashboard for so long, finally, it's up! The play area  in the right side of the building. I believe this is for smaller kids .  Inflatable slide. The lil one's favorite, the bouncer and slide And here she is with a new found playmate on the same bouncer. Far view of the same inflatable.
