Looking at the sky on Friday : Clearing up

Image
This is my first entry for this meme. I am making used of the camera the hubby gave me on my birthday last July 22nd. I just took this picture few minutes ago. I couldn't do it earlier as the rain was still watering the ground (hehe). The sky is actually just starting to clear up. No more raindrops for now.

Wordless Wednesday : Show dem tooties

Image
The lil gurl loves to show her teeth. Ask her "show them toothies" and she'd smile right quick. She got four teeth all in all for now. Two on the bottom gum and two on the top. Others are about to come out though. Can't wait for the set to be completed. She had have enough of discomfort and pain and I really want it to end now... if only it's possible. Is that smile precious for you? More wordless wednesday here

Music monday : rest of my life

Image
Been holding myself to join in this meme for quite a while. Skeptical that I may not be able to participate regularly. So today I have made my little decision. I am joining and participating. Here is one of my favorite songs since I met the hubby. I even created a video and this was the background music. Unfortunately, Youtube deleted such due to copyright infringement. Rest of my Life by Brian McKnight Three in the morning I can`t be dreaming I`m wide awake Watching you sleeping And then I realize There`s no place That I`d rather be I reach out to touch you My heart starts to race At the touch of your skin There ain`t no mistake and I`m lost in your eyes I see all that I need to see I`m feeling new things every time that I hold you I`m telling you things I would never have told you [hook:] I`m feeling my feet coming off of the ground I wasn`t looking But look what I found I wasn`t so sure at the start Now I wanna be there wherever you are And I can`t deny How you`ve got me feeling in

My apology for not dropping EC today

Today was one of the busiest. I barely had time manipulate my computer. By the time I was freed from errands, household chores and watching the 'lil girl, I was already tired. So I had to set aside some of my online duties to give myself a full rest. EC friends, I promise to reciprocate your efforts tomorrow. Thank you for dropping by.

I discourage you to purchase Clean and Pure water filter

Image
Buying gallons of distilled water every grocery shopping is too much. It does occupy a lot of space in the shopping cart. Adding to that is the weight. It consumes time as well to load and unload. I have been doing it for over a year for my daughter's safety. Since I saw the first product presentation of Clean and Pure water filter, I made plans on getting one. Last week, HSN offered a $10 off for this product. So I asked the hubby to buy one instead of giving me something useless on my birthday. The product arrived today. I was so excited to hook it against the faucet only to find out that the adapter is not working and incompatible with my faucet. There is no way how to attach it. I hate to go to the store to look for the adapter. Now I am thinking of sending it back. The product presentation was awesome. Who wouldn't want to buy if this kind of filter would last up to 20 years? It filters 20,000 gallons of water. Very persuading. The only downfall is the adapter. Sorry H

Your greetings are very much appreciated

I'd like to take this chance to thank everyone who greeted me yesterday. Reading your comments made me feel I am appreciated in some way. I had a bad day yesterday and was not able to celebrate that supposed to be very special day happily. DOn't ask me why hehe. If you are married, then you know what I mean. My in-laws came over to hand me their gift along with a birthday card saying they love me so much. Great! I now have a new and durable hand mixer. No more smoke from an overheat mixer when I mix a crinkle dough. Thanks to them for being so thoughtful. At last, the most important people in my life remembered me earlier than I expected. I received a lot of cards from my family back home. Text messages flood in my inbox, too. I did not delete it yet and maybe would save it for a period of time. I would love to read it again and again. I am just overwhelmed with the love they have showed me. In return, I gave them a call for a thank you and some chats as well. The person whom I

The baby is now a mother and it's her natal day

Twenty-seven years ago, a tiny girl was born in the midst of the tuna capital of the Philippines, General Santos City. This girl grew up to be a good person (according to her parents). Her family is so proud of her achievements. The first child in the family who graduated from a private university (free of fees) with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Library and Information Services and earned two years in the college of Education taking Bachelor of Science in Education major in Guidance Counseling. After graduation, she landed herself working in the high school department of the university. In the latter, she got so tired and hated the job as a teacher with library works. Quit the job. A month after, a call from a mentor asked her if she could work in a corporate world (mining industry to be specific) to organize and manage the records. The woman accepted the offer. She enjoyed the job and have thought of staying for a long period of time. Until... She met this man on the internet. T

Weekend nothings

It's Saturday and I am glued in my house with just the "lil girl" around. The hubby is working night shift this weekend. The weather is not so fine and seems raindrops are going to fall again later. I have not checked the temperature but I guess it ain't too hot outside. The girl in the neighborhood could tell as she is riding on her bicycle back and forth down the road. Since the baby is sleeping, I have this chance to update my space. My eyes are divided into my monitor and the television though. HGTV's designed to sell is currently on and I love this show. Oh here's one that annoyed me today. THe hubby handed me my mails from QVC. The letters state that I have not paid my due for this month -- the last payment of four. What??? My bank record could attest that I did. THe amount is debited directly from my bank account. So I e-mailed customer service with this matter. It's been three hours and didn't get any responses yet. Maybe tomorrow. I just hope

As she turns 1

The 'lil girl is a year old! July 5th was actually her birthday but I have forgotten to post about it. Time flew so quick. Next thing I know I will be dealing with "baby sickness". That's according to the hubby. Well, I don't think so. Having another baby is not my definite plan. The 'lil girl is actually starting to talk and somehow behaves like a mature person. Her gestures are so funny. Oh, I could not get over it sometimes. It makes me smile everytime I think or talk about her. I just love my girl. Anyway, I have attached one of her birthday photos. We didn't have a party as we spent it at Audobon Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans. It was worth it because she loved it. Make a wish and blow the candle na palangga . Distracted by everybody who kept on telling her what to do.

Loving the Korean style

Image
Lately, I have been hooked up with Korean fashion. So today, I bought this dress for just $0.99 with $9.00 S/H from a seller in China. I saw similar items but the prices are beyond my budget such as $24 plus free shipping. What??? Anyway, I saw some photos of a Koren actress who starred in Full House wearing the same style of dress. She looked so pretty in it and I guess I would, too (wink).

A day at Audobon Aquarium of the Americas (photos)

July 7 was our daughter's first birthday. Since we did not plan a party for her, we have decided to make a trip to Audobon Auquarium of the Americas, New Orleans. It took us over an hour to get there but it was worth it. The 'lil girl enjoyed every minute of that visit. She loved the tunnel aquarium more than anything there. tunnel aquarium man-made forest Dannille is trying to touch the newborn penguin. by the shark aquarium

Happy 4th of July

Image
This is a special day to celebrate or commemorate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. My family is not doing something special for today. No fireworks popping nor barbecue. We had a very long day yesterday as we visited the Aquarium in New Orleans. Everybody is still tired and just want to relax. Have a great July 4th weekend to ya'll.

Teething and more sleepless nights

Image
These past few days, the 'lil one is so uncomfy at night. She gets to the point that she keeps on waking up every hour. Most of the time she cries when she is not in my arms. She makes this face that freaks me out even though it's pretty normal. Seems like she's trying to suppress the pain and itch. I could not blame her or myself for this situation. Teething is part of her growth and development. Sometimes I asked myself and the hubby why teething should be this arduous, painful and uncomfortable. Dumb question, eh? The hubby would just answer me with "ask God, babe". Oh well, that I couldn't do. He has reasons for everything and those are unquestionable, I suppose.
